If you have any interest in auto sports at all, you will surely have heard of stock car racing. The term ‘stock car’ simply refers to the fact that the cars used to be stock items at local garages. Consequently, stock car racing includes NASCAR and dirt track racing. These are the most widespread varieties of stock car racing, but there is another that is far less well-known. It is called Formula D or Formula Drifting

Many people imagine that because Formula D uses similar cars to the other stock car races, then Formula D is a form of racing cars as well. Even though these sports do have certain things in common besides the kinds of cars they use, they are in fact very different. however, they do all come under the banner of motor sports or auto sports.

It can be hard to follow a basketball game when you have no idea why the referees are blowing the whistle. Fouls are one of the most common reasons for a basketball game to be stopped by the referee. A basketball game can be stopped for the following reasons: breaking a rule, illegal contact between two players or unsportsmanlike conduct by a player.

Illegal contact between two players is considered to be a foul. Here are the different types of fouls that can be seen in a typical game of basketball:

Offensive

As the name implies, an offensive foul is one that is committed by a player on offense (a player from the team that has possession of the ball). This type of foul usually happens when a player that is dribbling the ball purposely runs into a defensive player and stops them from player proper defense. The game is stopped when an offensive foul occurs and the ball is given to the team on defense.
